AUO to ship AMOLED panel to Sony and HTC in June.

According to Digitimes, AUO is expected to begin shipping 4.3 inch AMOLED panel to both HTC and Sony. AUO declined to confirm or deny the report, but instead state the company was ready to for volume production of AM-OLED panels.

Samsung is, according to the report, the main supplier of AM-OLED panels to both HTC and Sony, and has higher yield rates that AUO, which are reported to be as low as 20%.

The Gen 3.5 AUO AM-OLED line is currently operating at 7K~8K substrates per month, and could increase to 15K substrates per month.
