LG start to work on 8.5G LCD line in China make way free for 8G OLED line
LG Display is ready to start with working on their 8.5G LCD display plant in china in April 2012. The goal is to get a larger market share in china for LCD. LG Display co-operate with the chinese government and the new production line will be ramp up in Guangzhou.
But why we report about this? Because LG-Display plans to move production parts of its 8.5G line in South Korea to Guangzhou. This made the way free to ramp up a OLED production line there.
This make sense and for a few days the LG-Display CEO make pressure the company want to push OLED-Tv as fast as possible. At the CES-2012 LG-Display showcased the 55EM9600 with WOLED technology.
